ABOUT ME
Welcome! My name is Federica, and I am a philosopher of science. I think and write about biodiversity, conservation, and environmental justice, with a particular interest in how we measure the natural world and how those measurements shape scientific knowledge, conservation practice, and environmental policy.
I have just joined the University of Calgary (Canada) as an Assistant Professor. Before that, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the History and Philosophy of Science Unit at the University of Copenhagen (Denmark). Previously, I earned a Ph.D. in philosophy from Boston University (USA) and a master's degree from the Università di Parma (Italy).
Beyond my academic life, I am passionate about fossil hunting, dancing salsa, and furniture restoration.
